Bed Bug Treatment Systems

The rapid resurgence of the bed bug, Cimex lectularius L., is perhaps the hottest pest management topic of the day. Over the past few years they have caught the nation completely off guard, as illustrated by the increasing number of national news reports revolving around bed bugs. There has been a 500 percent increase in U.S. bed bug incidents in the last few years, and infestations have risen tenfold since 1996 in parts of London.*

Female bed bugs may lay from 200 to 500 eggs, in batches of 10 to 50. The eggs are covered with a glue and hatch in about 10 days. There are five progressively larger nymphal stages, each require a single blood meal before molting to the next stage. The entire life cycle from egg to adult requires anywhere from 5 weeks to 4 months, depending on temperature. Bed bugs can go without feeding for 80 to 140 days. Adults have survived without food for as long as 550 days. A bed bug can take six times its weight in blood and feeding can take 3 to 10 minutes. Adults live about 10 months and there can be up to 3 to 4 generations of bed bugs per year.** Temperatures of about 120°F are lethal to most insects provided they cannot escape to a cooler location. Pest-Heat Thermal Pest Management exploits this vulnerability to heat by offering a complete line of bed bug heat treatment and remediation equipment.

Who We Are

With over 15 years of experience providing a 100% clean, safe alternative for your pest control concerns, Pest-Heat is your modern day solution for bed bug eradication. We manufacture specialized, portable heating equipment for the pest control industry.

Why Choose Heat?

SAFE. More and more, a safe, non-chemical alternative to pest control is being sought. Heat has long been recognized as an effective alternative to chemical treatments, and is 100% organic and non-toxic. There are no residues or odors with our thermal bed bug treatment.

EFFECTIVE. Heat treatments for bed bugs and general pest control are effective in one application, with most complete in just one day. And since heat can penetrate areas where traditional chemicals and fumigants can't, you will benefit from a complete 'kill'. And with heat, you can implement a 'Zone Treatment', treating only the infested area, assuring quick and complete pest eradication.

SETS YOU APART. The push is on to "Go Green"... are you and your business ready? Adding heat treatment to your facility differentiates you from the competition and let's you say "YES!" to seeking safer, earth-friendly pest control and bed bug eradication.
